How are you feeling?
Are you waking up earlier to fit this into your morning routine? Do you have sleepy eyes right now? Let's dive right in! 

Today's big takeaway: You can (and should) ask God for help! 

"Physical fitness, like every other aspect of your life, begins and ends with God." (pg. 25) 

That video was kind of bold. There are two words that we don't hear often: gluttony & slothfulness. In other words, there are two sins we rarely address because it is easily swept under the rug. 

But in my pursuit to honor God with my body & health, I MUST recognize these struggles in my life. I cannot pick and choose which sins are offensive to God. 

God does not want us to be lazy or to give into every food temptation. 

There is good news though. We are not alone. Accordingly to one of his many promises in 1 Peter, He will restore, establish, strengthen and support you. Doesn't that feel amazing? To know we can ask for His help regarding our bodies & health... and He will help us! 

Laziness & Gluttony

  • Do you cringe when you hear those words?
  • Do you roll your eyes because there are "bigger" sins to deal with first?
  • What area(s) of your life are lazy or slothful?
  • Has food (unhealthy food) become a comfort/idol?

What about Luke 16:10?

"If you are faithful in little things,
you will be faithful in large ones."


Today, let's ask God to reveal to us how we can begin to prune bad habits.
